Primary data research analysis - demographic

Conducting primary data research I asked for - in my opinion - relevant demographic data that in conjuction with subject questions would allow to understand better the outcome of survey.

First demographic factor I considered is gender.

Forms response chart. Question title: 1.1 Gender. Number of responses: 19 responses.

The age is one of most important factors in this research. It was split into 3 ranges: under 18 years old as it is believed this group is using the Internet mostly for entertainment purposes and has lower awareness about the need to protect personal information; 18-45 with major exposure to web applications within their personal and professional life; and over 45 years old considered having lower exposure to ICT and data protection.

Forms response chart. Question title: 1.2 Age. Number of responses: 19 responses.

The following 2 factors are how often they are engaged with remote services over the Internet and types of device used.

Forms response chart. Question title: 1.3 How often are you using services over website?. Number of responses: 19 responses.

The scale range from 1 - never to 5 - very often.

Forms response chart. Question title: 1.4 What device you mostly use to browse the Internet?. Number of responses: 19 responses.

The final and most important factor is ICT proficiency. This will allow to determine whether people with rich computing background are more cautious about their data and how service is provided. This question is not relying on professional computing skills such as programing, but more general proficiency in using computers and the Internet.

Forms response chart. Question title: 1.5 How do you consider your computer proficiency?. Number of responses: 19 responses.

The range is from 1 - inexperienced to 5 - very experienced.

Almost 4 out of 5 responders are male between 18 and 45 years old. All responders considers themselves quite experienced or better in operating ICT devices. 2/3 of responders prefer computer devices as their primary choice to browse the Internet, while 1/3 prefers to use smartphones. No one picked different device for those purposes.

Within demographic questions only I would like to note that average computer proficiency for all responses is 3.974 and considering only group 45+ years old it is 4.0, although it is based on 2 responses only.

Computer Ethics

The invention of computers was undeniably significant milestone for civilisation. Creation of that extensively versatile and multipurpose device was an advancement that commenced a new age - Information Age - in a history of humankind. However with new possibilities, new threats follows: cyber crime, cyber terrorism or cyber war. Computer ethics consists of rules, practices and areas that should be taken into consideration while designing, implementing and using information and communication technologies. It was a predecessor to ICT related legislation and expands current legal obligations for every individual involved.  The first of computer ethics commandments says: "Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people".   Often ethic codes are assigned to activities that have potential to be unethical, and within computer sciences the first thought is majorly hacking. In general, hacking refers to activities leading to acquire access to systems or data without permission...
